Hanoi – Siem Reap route introducing next year
Vietnam budget carrier to open Hanoi – Siem Reap route next year
Vietjet is poised to launch a new service connecting Hanoi and the Cambodian city of Siem Reap next year, the low-cost carrier announced Friday.
The new route, scheduled to be in service from March 30, is looking to meet increasing travel demand of individuals, tourists and entrepreneurs between the two well-known cities, Vietjet said in a press release.
The Hanoi – Siem Reap route is operated daily for 1 hour 45 minutes per leg, with its flight takes off from Hanoi at 3:55 pm (local time) and lands in Siem Reap at 5:40 spm (local time).
The return flight departs 6:40 pm (local time) and arrives at 8:25 pm (local time).
Promotional tickets of the route are available now from only VND399,000 (US$17) each.
Conveniently located in the Southeast Asia with many World heritages of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, etc, Siem Reap has become one of the favorite tourist destinations in Cambodia.
The city is also voted one of the world’s most friendly cities thanks to its famous Apsara dance, hand-made shops, typical cuisine and serenity and antiqueness.

金边市政府计划在2017年动工建设新河滨步道工程，起点是金边夜市，终点为水凈华桥，全长1600米。项目建成后，將成为金边市第二条河滨步道。
金边市市长巴速杰德旺於前天前往河边进行实地视察时表示，不少商家侵佔了河边兴建餐厅、码头和停泊游船等，因此当项目开工时，这些商家將受影响。他表示，目前工作组正以“双贏政策”和商家进行友好协商，以儘快完成拆除工作。他还促请专家工作组加快完成工程蓝图，以爭取在2017年开工建设。
“项目建成后，必將对金边市的旅游业、提昇市容面貌水平和结束河边违建筑物现象发挥重要作用，並成为市民的另一好去处，国际游客或市民可在河边一带观光游览，散步运动，呼吸新鲜空气。”

外国游客来柬·9个月350万人次
今年首9个月，柬埔寨共吸引350万人次外国游客入境观光，较去年同期上升4.8%。
根据旅游部公佈的数据，今年1至9月入境外国游客中，越南游客人数最多，共69万5670人，上升0.1%；其次为中国游客，共57万7280人，上升12.5%；而韩国游客则排名第三位，共26万3880人，下降了11%。
入境游客主要是前往古代高棉古寺参观，包括已被列入联合国世界文化遗產名录的吴哥窟和柏威夏古剎。
此外，柬埔寨也拥有长达450公里的海岸线，共有四个省份濒临暹罗湾。
旅游业是柬埔寨四大经济支柱之一。去年，柬埔寨共吸引478万人次外国游客，共赚取30亿美元外匯。

法国滨海城‧嗊吥旅游项目获批建
Pallas集团宣佈在嗊吥和白马省投资面积逾4千公顷的滨海城。
政府批准占地逾4千公顷的嗊吥省海滨旅游区发展项目，发展总值高达230亿美元。
有关项目是由国际產业开发公司Pallas集团投资发展，横跨嗊吥和白马两省，包括兴建豪华渡假屋、別墅、电影摄影棚和马术竞技场等，首期工程预料將於明年3月动工。
据公司国际销售经理钱速潘那指出，整个发展项目取名为“法国滨海城”（French Riviera Marina），共占地4302公顷，其中嗊吥省佔4158公面，其余144公顷则在白马境內。
他说，有关项目已获得政府於今年3月批准，並会是柬埔寨规模最大的旅游发展项目。
他表示，“法国滨海城”的发展概念，是希望吸引更多外国游客前来柬埔寨，包括长期在柬埔寨定居。

西港海洋节延期举行
西港海洋节延期举行
今年在西哈努克市举行的海洋节，將延期至12月杪举行。
根据旅游部长唐坤於昨天发表的声明，跨部门筹备委员会经决定，把原定於12月16至18日在西港举行的第五届海洋节，展延至12月23日至25日。
他说，海洋节开幕仪式將於12月24日下午5时举行，届时洪森总理將出席主持。
政府是於2011年创办海洋节，以推动柬埔寨海滨城市旅游业，同时向外宣传柬埔寨美丽海滩。西港也是首届海洋节庆祝活动举办城市，第二届是在白马节，第三届在国公，第四届则是在嗊吥市。

週五（23日）吴哥窟將出现日正当中天文奇观，为了避免因出现大批人潮而导致意外事故发生，仙女机构將在当天施行群眾控管措施，並禁止游客使用无人机（Drone）拍照。
按照吴哥窟的建筑结构设计与位置，每年的昼夜平分点，即9月的秋分与3月春分，观测者如果站在吴哥窟西门前面，將会看到太阳直接在吴哥窟五塔正中最高塔上面徐徐升起。今年的日期为9月23日清晨4时至6时，预料將吸引大批国外內游客涌往观赏。
仙女机构副主席宋松华表示，当局於当天將派出保安人员，以维持秩序及疏导交通，以免发生意外事故，或游客破坏古跡行为。
他说，吴哥窟將规定游客必须在当局指定地点观赏日出，以確保不会出现人潮过於拥挤现象。
他也说，当局也將监视游客的行为，不允许游客踩踏古跡或坐在龙桥上。
此外，游客也不能使用无人驾驶飞机（Drone）拍照，避免对其他游客造成困扰，甚至发生无人机掉落造成游客受伤事件。

Prime Minister Hun Sen yesterday doubled down on his May pledge that the annual Water Festival and accompanying boat races – held only intermittently and in truncated fashion since tragedy hit the 2010 celebration – “must” go forward this November.
Speaking at a graduation ceremony at the National Institute of Education yesterday, the prime minister told students that the festival would proceed this year regardless of the water level, which last year was used as the rationale for cancelling the event.
That move, which had come just two weeks after the premier had pledged that it would go on as planned, was widely criticised by analysts as an attempt to prevent an influx of crowds into the city amid fears of political demonstrations over the beating of two opposition lawmakers and the ouster of CNRP acting president Kem Sokha from his National Assembly post.
“This year’s water festival will be celebrated even if the water level is only two metres deep,” Hun Sen said yesterday, contradicting his claim last year that the Tonle Sap’s 4.2-metre depth had been too shallow for rowboats and warranted the cancellation of the festival. “The water level this year is better than last year’s.”
Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology spokesman Chan Yutha could not be reached yesterday.
City Hall spokesman Mean Chanyada told the Post that a meeting had been held with the National Committee for Organising National and International Festivals (NCONIF) to discuss the festival. He said that both National Police and military police would be deployed on the days of celebration to ensure social order, though he declined to provide details on strength and methods of deployment.
“Let’s assess the situation first … There is still a long time to go … For a big event like this, we have to have a clear security strategy and what we should do,” he said.
In November 2010, in the Kingdom’s largest loss of life in peacetime, 353 people were killed in a crush when crowds became bottlenecked on a bridge connecting Koh Pich to the mainland and pushed forward in a panic.
A government inquiry that followed found no government or police officials were at fault for the crowd control issues.
When asked yesterday whether prisoners would be granted royal pardons this Water Festival, Ministry of Justice spokesperson Kim Santepheap said that, while it was indeed a long-standing tradition, no meeting on the issue had yet been scheduled.
“Normally there are three times [prisoners receive royal pardons] in a year … The ministry is waiting for the request from the provincial prisoners committee,” he said. The Water Festival is slated to be held from November 13 to 15 this year.

Preah Sihanouk provincial authorities plan to recruit about 30 lifeguards to help prevent drownings across the province’s seven beaches.
The move comes in the wake of several tourist drownings; the latest casualties involved a South Korean 40-year-old father, Lee Minseock, and his 4-year-old son, Lee Seungjae, who drowned at Otres Beach on Friday morning, said Brak Visal, Preah Sihanouk provincial administration deputy director.
Ten local and foreign tourists drowned during the first eight months of this year while visiting beaches and islands in the province, Visal said.
“Two years ago, our province had 10 lifeguards, but five left to work for the private sector,” he said.
Currently, only one of the seven beaches, Ochheutal Beach, has lifeguards.

Starting next month, certain foreign visitors to Cambodia will be able to apply for multi-entry business and tourist visas lasting as long as three years, Tourism Minister Thong Khon said at a seminar yesterday.
Speaking at a Japanese-Cambodian tourism conference, Khon went on to bill the measure as an effort to “promote tourism growth”.
“The government has approved the new policy for multi-entry visas, which international tourists and investors can apply for at the airport for one, two or three years, and we will start to implement this on September 1,” Khon said.
However, Sok Veasna, an official with the Interior ministry’s General Department of Immigration, said that many of the details of the visas were yet to be sorted out.
“The multi-entry visa is being implemented from September 1 for international tourists and international businessmen, but the conditions of stay and payment fees will vary depending on the agreements between the government and each [other] country’s government,” Veasna said, adding that so far only Japan had finalised such an agreement, giving its citizens the option to apply for one-, two- and three-year visas.
China and South Korea are currently applying for the three-year option. Depending on the individual agreements, some visa holders may be required to leave the country at certain intervals, Veasna added.
Chhay Sivlin, of the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents, lauded the move as offering “convenience for tourists”.
“It is important for international tourists or businesspeople who are looking to come back again with their family or friends, or for meetings with business partners,” she said.

离市区不超过50公里‧新金边机场2025年动工
柬埔寨政府决定在距离首都金边不超过50公里范围內，兴建一座新国际机场，以应付未来搭客增长需求。
民航国务秘书处发言人兴占西里武塔透露，鉴於我国机场搭客人数逐年增加，预料现有金边国际机场不足十年便会“爆满”，因此政府决定著手计划兴建新机场。
“到了2025年，金边机场將没有空间再扩建，这会导致许多班机因机场拥挤，而无法降陆。”
他指出，政府希望新机场地点，距离金边市不超过50公里。
新机场管理公司未確定
询及新金边机场管理合约究竟会“花落谁家”时，兴占西里武塔拒绝透露进一步详情。
目前我国三座国际机场，即金边、暹粒和西哈努克，是交由法国万喜集团（Vinci）拥有的“柬埔寨机场”（Cambodia Airports）公司负责经营。
该公司代表上週向金边市政府提呈一份初步计划书，以兴建占地1500公顷的新金边机场，並鉴定四个地点作为新金边机场建设用途，即磅清扬旧机场、干拉省乌廊区、金边以东1號公路，以及洞里萨湖和湄公河之间盆地。
根据计划，新金边国际机场將於2030年至2035年期间开始启用。
无论如何，兴占西里武塔表示，距离金边市约80公里的磅清扬旧机场，並不適合作为新金边机场，因为它將迫使搭客“长途跋涉”。
“如果要去到路途遥远的外省，搭客將须花费更多时间和金钱往来机场。”

民航国务秘书处发言人兴占西里武塔透露，鉴於我国机场搭客人数逐年增加，预料现有金边国际机场不足十年便会“爆满”，因此政府决定著手计划兴建新机场。
“到了2025年，金边机场將没有空间再扩建，这会导致许多班机因机场拥挤，而无法降陆。”
他指出，政府希望新机场地点，距离金边市不超过50公里。
新机场管理公司未確定
询及新金边机场管理合约究竟会“花落谁家”时，兴占西里武塔拒绝透露进一步详情。
目前我国三座国际机场，即金边、暹粒和西哈努克，是交由法国万喜集团（Vinci）拥有的“柬埔寨机场”（Cambodia Airports）公司负责经营。
该公司代表上週向金边市政府提呈一份初步计划书，以兴建占地1500公顷的新金边机场，並鉴定四个地点作为新金边机场建设用途，即磅清扬旧机场、干拉省乌廊区、金边以东1號公路，以及洞里萨湖和湄公河之间盆地。
根据计划，新金边国际机场將於2030年至2035年期间开始启用。
无论如何，兴占西里武塔表示，距离金边市约80公里的磅清扬旧机场，並不適合作为新金边机场，因为它將迫使搭客“长途跋涉”。
“如果要去到路途遥远的外省，搭客將须花费更多时间和金钱往来机场。”

旅游部长唐坤昨天在一份通告中指出，为了使柬埔寨成为最具吸引力的旅游目的地，以及推动旅游业可持续性发展，旅游部制定和推行“柬埔寨住宿標准”。
他说，“柬埔寨住宿標准”旨在加强住宿服务品质，提供国內外游客优秀的接待服务。
“柬埔寨住宿標准”涵盖三种住宿，包括社区民宿、乡村民宿和城市客栈和酒店。社区民宿將推动社区和生態旅游，至於农村民宿將推动农村，尤其农业旅游业发展。

Angkor Wat tourists have new dress code
Tourists heading for Angkor Wat will have to watch what they wear from next month onwards, the Apsara Authority announced yesterday.
In a bid to encourage visitors to respect the sanctity of the temples and Cambodian culture, beginning August 4, visitors will be required to wear pants or skirts below the knees and a T-shirt that covers the shoulders, Apsara Authority spokesman Long Kosal said.
“We will not allow them to buy a temple pass if they wear revealing clothes,” he said. “However, our officials will inform them what they should wear to be able to visit our ancient temples, so they can come back to buy a ticket later after they change their clothes.
“When visitors dress appropriately during their visit to the park, it means they are showing respect to Cambodian sacred temples, culture and Cambodian women’s values.”
Ang Kim Eang, president of the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents, approved of the move but cautioned that visitors and those involved in the tourism industry would need to be given ample notice.
“I don’t think it’s a problem for tourists . . . I don’t think they are upset if they are informed,” she said. The measures are part of a broader code of conduct implemented in response to foreigners snapping semi-nude photos at the ancient site and desecrating the temples.
“Those kinds of activities, we are very upset about those, so this rule will help to minimise the impact,” Eang said. “In this country, you cannot do something crazy; you have to respect the rules.”
Sea Sophal, who gives Angkor Wat tours in English, said he welcomed the new rule, saying the temples are not just an attraction but a place of worship. Sin Chaivann, who guides Thai and Korean tourists, agreed the step was a positive one.
“They should respect the culture of the country where they are walking in,” he said.

他说，观光型的旅游产品很难满足游客体验道地的心理需求，旅游部将从这个方面加强推动旅游业发展，推动乡村和社区旅游产品，进而人民的收入和推广柬埔寨文化和风俗。

New Checkpoints on Lao-Cambodian Border

More border checkpoints will be opened between Cambodia and Laos after both countries agreed to increase bilateral trade yesterday.
The decision came after a meeting in Phnom Penh between Prime Minister Hun Sen and his Lao counterpart Thongloung Sisoulith after a series of talks related to trade, investment, tourism, illegal border crossings and cross-border peacekeeping.
More information on the new checkpoints will be released soon, assistant to the prime minister Ieng Sophalet told reporters after the meeting. He added that the new checkpoints are being created for the use of citizens from both countries to promote cross-border investment, trade and tourism.
While Mr. Sophalet would not say where the new checkpoints will be, a Foreign Ministry statement released earlier this month said one will be built in Preah Vihear province.
The checkpoint’s construction is part of a larger plan to link the two countries with a road and bridge over the Ropov River, making it easy to cross between Preah Vihear and Laos’ Pakse province.
Now the only official overland route between the neighbors is through the Voeung Kam-Dom Kralor checkpoint in Stung Treng, opposite Laos’ Pakse province.
The new border checkpoint will give residents the option of entering Laos and Cambodia respectively through legal means, Mr. Sophalet added.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Cambodia’s consul office in Stung Treng province will be open on June 30, with the Lao side opening on July 1.
Mey Kalyan, a senior advisor to the Supreme National Economic Council, said the new consul offices will help communications between Cambodia and Laos.
“In the name of neighboring countries, we have to help each other in terms of facilitating mutual trade activities,” Mr. Kalyan said. The Cambodia-Laos border is about 54 kilometers long.
Not discussed during yesterday’s meeting was Laos’ controversial Don Sahong dam, which is being built less than two kilometers upstream of the Cambodian border. Despite the government in Laos claiming the dam will have no effect on the Mekong River ecosystem or their downstream neighbors, international experts disagree.
The newly-elected prime minister of Laos is on a two-day official visit to Cambodia after taking office in April. He is set to leave the Kingdom tomorrow.

我国海滨旅游城市去年接待了大约100万人次的本地游客及60万人次的外国游客，预计到2020年，接待游客人次將会翻一番。据旅游部昨日消息，我国拥有美丽的海岸线，早在2011年就成为世界最美海滩俱乐部成员。而基於政府对保护和发展海滩的努力，世界最美海滩俱乐部大会將在近期投票决定，委任柬埔寨为该俱乐部副主席，主管亚太事务。
旅游部表示，我国的沿海省份可以简称为4K，即白马（Kep）、嗊吥（Kampot）、磅逊港（Kampong Som）和国公（Koh Kong），海岸线全长440公里。
据统计，目前外国游客的取向，约有四成人数喜欢参观文化景区，例如国家著名古跡景点；25%喜欢到海边休闲，其余则到城市、自然景区或农村游玩。
旅游部预测，到2020年，柬埔寨的4大沿海省市將接待200万人次本地游客，以及超过100万人次的入境国际游客。
2015年，我国接待约470万人次外国游客，同比增长6.1%，其中中国游客约70万人次，增长24%，占总入境游客的14.5%，继越南之后成为柬第二大游客来源国。

皇家铁路执行长约翰盖尔透露，该公司已对“机场列车”计划展开可行性研究，认为有关服务將会得到欲前往机场的搭客支持。
他说，虽然仍处在初步策划阶段，惟预料它会在短时间內落实。
“这不用花十年计划来研究和决定。”
他称，一旦“机场列车”开通，搭客可在10至15分钟內，由市中心抵达机场，避免繁忙和拥堵的交通。
盖里强调，“机场列车”计划不会涉及重新安置铁路社区民眾。“如果需要，我根本不会想要做。”
洪森总理曾於4月宣佈，取消由金边市中心通往金边国际机场的高架高速公路工程，以免数百户家庭被迫迁离原居地。
政府原本计划以私营方式，让私人开发商兴建这条全长10公里的高架高速公路，估计耗资约4亿美元，工程原本预计將於今年中开工建设，並於2021年竣工通车。
由於从市中心通往金边机场的俄罗斯大道交通日益阻塞，导致许多赶往机场搭机的搭客受困车龙中，据估计，在繁忙时段，从市中心前往机场须费时45至70分钟。

柬埔寨当局将向联合国教科文组织（UNESCO）申请，把三波坡雷古（Sambor Prei Kuk）遗迹列入世界文化遗产名录。位于磅通省的三波坡雷古前吴哥时代的寺庙群，是七世纪初由闍耶跋摩一世建造的首都，之后再由其他国王持续兴建，迄今可见的寺庙尚存百余座，其中52座依然矗立，52座倒塌被掩埋。如果三波坡雷古寺申遗获批，它将是我国第三个被列入世界文化遗产名录的古迹。
建于12世纪的吴哥窟是于1992年列遗，而11世纪兴建的柏威夏寺则于2008年登入名册。磅通省(Kampong Thom)旅游局局长森安说，近几年来，三波坡雷古渐渐受到更多外国游客青睐，这主要归因于游客可以更方便地抵达这个遗址，而前吴哥时代的寺庙让他们留下深刻印象。他说，2015年，三波坡雷古寺吸引了大约1万7500名外国游客。参观遗迹的外国游客，对柬政府申请把三波坡雷古遗迹列入世遗名录的动作，给予极大的肯定。
来自澳洲的游客海伦对新华社记者说，向联合国教科文组织申请而把遗迹列入世遗名录，她相信这是很正确的做法。她提到，很可惜寺庙以前受到战争的破坏，但如果获到维护，这美好的柬埔寨遗产与文明将为世人所知。也是来自澳洲的游客彼得莱利说，“我觉得是应该受到维护的，很高兴听到柬埔寨政府正投入维护工作......把寺庙群列入世遗名录是很好的做法，因为这寺庙群不止对柬埔寨是独一无二的，对世界也是独一无二的。”
去年1月，副总理兼柬埔寨联合国教科文组织委员会主席宋安曾宣布为三波坡雷古申请列入世界文化遗产名录。他说，其巧夺天工的建筑技术，体现了高棉祖先的智慧，如果列入世界文化遗产名录，寺庙群将能得到全面的保护和开发。

暴风雨袭吴哥窟‧老树压中古迹围墙
暴风雨前天下午袭击吴哥古寺地区，多棵老树被连根拔起，破坏多座古寺围墙，所幸未造成游客和民众伤亡。前天下午3时，暹粒市和吴哥古寺地区遭受暴风雨袭击，豪雨在强风助威下肆虐多座被列为世界文化遗产的古寺，导致数十棵老树被刮倒，压毁古寺围墙和多座建筑物。根据仙女机构昨天发表的文告，吴哥历史公园遭受暴风雨肆虐后，大吴哥区内10处地点受到破坏，包括吴哥窟、巴肯寺及保护古迹警局办事处受到破坏，一些倒在路中央的大树也阻档交通。它强调，虽然吴哥窟等古寺部份围墙被倒下的大树压毁，惟古寺主要建筑并没有受到破坏，也没有任何人在事故中受伤。它说，事发后，仙女机构主管森林官员立即展开善后工作，并把倒下的大树移走，善后工作至昨天下午仍在持续进行中。
老树或成古迹“杀手”
根据仙女机构资料，吴哥历史公园面积达401平方公里，区内共有91个古迹，且大多是藏在茂密森林中，因树木缺乏照顾和管理，许多大树已“生病“，随时会禁不起强风砍袭而倒下。为了预防大树倒下酿成意外和破坏古寺，仙女机构于今年4月决定成立特别工作组，以便统计和监控吴哥古寺地区生长的大树情况，而前天发生的暴风雨刮倒老树及压毁古寺围墙事件，突显了老树作为“计时炸弹”的风险。

暴风雨前天下午袭击吴哥古寺地区，多棵老树被连根拔起，破坏多座古寺围墙，所幸未造成游客和民众伤亡。前天下午3时，暹粒市和吴哥古寺地区遭受暴风雨袭击，豪雨在强风助威下肆虐多座被列为世界文化遗产的古寺，导致数十棵老树被刮倒，压毁古寺围墙和多座建筑物。根据仙女机构昨天发表的文告，吴哥历史公园遭受暴风雨肆虐后，大吴哥区内10处地点受到破坏，包括吴哥窟、巴肯寺及保护古迹警局办事处受到破坏，一些倒在路中央的大树也阻档交通。它强调，虽然吴哥窟等古寺部份围墙被倒下的大树压毁，惟古寺主要建筑并没有受到破坏，也没有任何人在事故中受伤。它说，事发后，仙女机构主管森林官员立即展开善后工作，并把倒下的大树移走，善后工作至昨天下午仍在持续进行中。
老树或成古迹“杀手”
根据仙女机构资料，吴哥历史公园面积达401平方公里，区内共有91个古迹，且大多是藏在茂密森林中，因树木缺乏照顾和管理，许多大树已“生病“，随时会禁不起强风砍袭而倒下。为了预防大树倒下酿成意外和破坏古寺，仙女机构于今年4月决定成立特别工作组，以便统计和监控吴哥古寺地区生长的大树情况，而前天发生的暴风雨刮倒老树及压毁古寺围墙事件，突显了老树作为“计时炸弹”的风险。

今年仪式，由暹粒省省长庚文宋担任“御耕王”（king Meak），省长夫人桂娜玲则担任“王后（Queen Mehua）”。
庚文宋表示，御耕节仪式在暹粒省举行，可吸引大批游客到访，促进暹粒省旅游业。他说，这是暹粒省第二次获选为御耕节仪式举办地点，第一次是在2010年。

法国VINCI机场网络所属25个机场，昨日同步举行微笑日活动，员工们以亲切可亲的微笑欢迎机场旅客的到来，让大家发觉机场人员不为人知的一面。
对於VINCI机场网络管理公司而言，机场不单止是一座迎接旅客抵境或离境的建筑物，它是一个具有生命力，为不同阶层的搭客提供服务的地方，因而从2012年开始举办微笑日活动，拉近机场员工和乘客之间的距离。
前日，法国、葡萄牙、柬埔寨及智利的机场举办了“微笑日”活动，回馈忠实顾客；单在去年，参与员工人数高达900人，迎接980班次的13万名乘客。

今年的活动有別於以往，主办单位举办了一项机场活动常识比赛，而一些设有脸书专页的机场，包括柬埔寨三家机场，则会邀请搭客与员工合照，再把照片贴在脸书及Instagram，让粉丝投选出最佳照片。
柬埔寨机场首席执行员艾力克德罗贝表示，微笑日让搭客有个亲近的体验，目前適逢柬埔寨新年，融入本地文化气息。
来自法国VINCI机场网络公司目前拥有柬埔寨机场70%股份，而其余30%则属马柬合资的Muhibbah Masteron柬埔寨公司所有。
2015年，柬埔寨的搭客高达640万人次，单是金边与暹粒机场每週共有500个航班，飞往海內外30个目的地，两个机场客容量最高分別达800至1000万，以及600万人。

据仙女机构跨领域项目和技术局局长兴金连表示，小吴哥至巴戎寺道路全长3.5公里，经过修复后，道路两旁划分出徒步和脚车道。
他说，另外两条道路为柬韩友谊路，修复工程规模较大，其中一条是通往小吴哥西部的捷路，即从6号公路至小吴哥的水泥路，全长4.8公里；另外一条是开放重型汽车通车，全长10.3公里。
他续说，这三条道路是由仙女机构负责修复的。
宋松华表示，仙女机构把修复道路列为吴哥古迹管理项目之一，因为道路不仅将带动旅游业发展，也能提供居民日常交通和运输便利。
“我们发现很多游客喜欢骑脚车游览吴哥古迹，因此决定在小吴哥至巴戎寺道路上增设脚车道，以确保游客的安全。”
他补充，仙女机构也计划在吴哥古迹区内增设更多脚车道，以满足游客的需要。

环境部检测白马省海水水质最新结果，没发现含有危害人类健康物质，惟警告若海水温度再度上升，海水受污染事件将再度重演。环境部昨天发表文告称，环境部从白马省7个地点抽取的海水样本进行检验，并未发现任何足以危害人类健康的物质。
它说，本月初白马省发生海水变色现象，是因为天气炎热，导致海水温度上升，在水温和光线作用下，为某类海藻提供充足养份，以致它们大量繁殖。它称，海水变成绿色现象，主要是发生在近海地区，变色原因其实是因海面上出现大量海藻。文告表示，目前海水水质已恢复正常，而渔民也已获准照常捕鱼。
然而，它说，若海水温度达到摄氏32度，浮游生物大量繁殖现象将会再度发生，令海水由蓝变绿。环境部也于周一发表文告，劝告民众和游客直到本周末之前，都应避免到白马省游泳及食用海鲜。自上周五（1日）开始，白马省海水便突然由蓝色变成绿色，并出现鱼虾和螃蚧大量死亡现象，环境部于周六紧急发出文告，呼吁民众暂时避免到当地游泳和食用当地海产。

Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Passenger Train to Start Services in April
Cambodia will resume its rail road passenger services the first time in many decades on April 9, just days before the Khmer New Year holidays; a move that will help ease partly traffic problems at the time that most of the capital city population generally go out to provinces.
A representative of The Toll Royal Railway, an authorized investment company in railway transport, told the press on March 21, that the company would start a pilot passenger service between Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville (260km from to the south of Phnom Penh) and that the train would stop and pick up passengers at two main provincial stations of Takeo and Kampot before the train reaches the final destination of Sihanoukville.
The company’s representative said the trial passenger service would be for one full week from April 9 to April 17 which is the Khmer New Year period during which traffic congestion could also be eased partly since many passengers may choose to travel by rail road. After the trial, the company would consider to set up a new specific date for future operation. However, if many people are interested in the service then the company would just continue the operation right away, the company’s representative said.
As for travel fares, the company said it would cost $7 for an eight-hour trip from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville on a distance of 260km. Fares for a trip from Phnom Penh to Takeo and Kampot are respectively $5 and $6. Tickets are available at stations in Phnom Penh as well as hose in the provinces.
